If you're taking the SAT outside the United States, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands, different registration policies might apply.
Requirements by Location
In addition to the policies that apply to all test takers, these locations have policies of their own that affect registration.
|Egypt||The SAT won’t be administered in Egypt until further notice, including during the 2022–23 school year.|
|Hong Kong||If you’re testing in Hong Kong, please don't contact the test center. You can find more information on the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority website.|
|India||Sunday testing isn’t available.|
|Pakistan||Sunday testing isn’t available.|
Restricted Countries and Persons
As a United States-based corporation, College Board and its overseas service providers are subject to U.S. economic sanctions, laws, and regulations. Therefore, College Board is prohibited from providing testing services to or accepting registrations from Sanctioned Persons unless specifically licensed or otherwise authorized by the U.S. government. Sanctioned Persons include persons residing in certain areas and persons designated by the U.S. government as Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons.
If a Sanctioned Person attempts to register, College Board or a U.S. financial institution might block the registration or payments submitted by or for such Sanctioned Persons. If payment isn’t blocked, College Board is required to cancel the registration and may not be able to refund the payment.
For more information, see the Sanctions Programs and Country Information website.
