What Can Your Students Do with BigFuture School?
Taking an in-school assessment is a big step for students, and it's just the beginning. BigFuture School is their free, go-to app to do more with their score as they figure out what's next, right from their phone. The app helps students find college and career information that matters most to them:
Help Your Students Access the App
When students 13 and over in the United States take the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT School Day, they'll have the option to share their mobile number to access the mobile app. Remind your students that the primary way to access the app is by sharing their mobile number when they take one of these tests.
Provide a Mobile Number
Students who provide a mobile number during their exam setup will get a download link and a secure code to successfully log in after entering their mobile number in the app. Their number is only used to authenticate the app and notify them that scores are available.
Check Scores in the App
Students will receive a text when their scores are available in the app.
Explore Colleges and Careers
Students can receive customized guidance, engage with interactive tools, and when available, discover relevant nonprofit institutions that may be a good fit after high school.

Connections Puts Students' Privacy First
With Connections, no personal information is shared with institutions. A student chooses to connect and share information with institutions. This gives students and their families more control over when, or whether, they raise their hands to be seen.
Connections content is shared from organizations that are interested in students based on information students, schools, districts, or states provide as part of the eligible in-school assessment. Connections content may also be based on any information students share in BigFuture School, their educational and career interests and preferences shared in BigFuture School, and score ranges on any of their past and future SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and any AP Exams to make connections that are relevant to students.
FAQs About BigFuture School and Connections
BigFuture School is available to domestic, in-school test takers 13 and older who take the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT School Day. Using BigFuture School is optional. Students have the option to provide a mobile number during exam setup to gain secure access to BigFuture School. By providing a mobile number, students agree to receive limited text messages (specifically to download the app), a secure code to access the app, and an alert when their scores are available. The mobile number is used to authenticate students' information in the app and is not used for any other reason. Students must provide a U.S. or domestic mobile number to participate.
The app is the preferred way for students to get their in-school SAT Suite scores, but it isn't the only way students can access their scores and plan for the future. Schools can provide students with the traditional PDF report, which includes a QR code to free college and career planning resources on BigFuture.org.
Students' personally identifiable information is never shared in Connections with participating organizations. College Board uses the following to provide students with relevant information and tailored content in Connections:
- Information about the student provided by the school to facilitate test registration and the educational services.
- Test score ranges for students, excluding PSAT 8/9.
- Educational and career interests a student chooses to include in their BigFuture School preferences (optional).
- Any additional information that a student chooses to include when completing their assessment, such as information about themself, their educational experience, and plans for after graduation (optional).
Connections is the primary way for in-school test takers 13 and older to discover nonprofit colleges, scholarship providers, and government agencies administering education programs that may be a good fit and are actively looking for students like them. Connections is available via the BigFuture School app, print, and email (not yet available). It is optional and students can opt in during exam setup for the PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT School Day or anytime within the BigFuture School app (not available for PSAT 8/9 students or New York test takers).
Connections offers multiple ways to find college and scholarship opportunities and stand out, including the ability to match with relevant institutions, explore and save college profiles, receive in-app messages, and/or get direct mail delivered by College Board.
Connections puts students' privacy first. No personally identifiable information is shared, and students decide if and when to share their information with interested institutions.
Yes. Students can stop using the app at any time and they can opt out of Connections at any time in the app or by contacting College Board's Customer Service at 866-433-7728. Additionally, students can choose to continue using Connections but opt out of individual communications channels including emails (not yet available), direct mailings, and in-app content.
