SAT Test Day Problems

SAT Test Day Problems

If you encounter problems on test day, you generally need to communicate them to the SAT Program by 11:59 p.m. ET on the fourth weekday after the test administration. If you want to cancel scores, you must do so by 11:59 p.m. ET one week after your test date for SAT Weekend or within five days of your test date for SAT School Day. This is necessary in order to ensure that your concern is investigated before your scores are released. Use the contacts below to identify the best way of contacting us.

If you took the digital SAT and encountered an ambiguous question, use this form to report issues. Reports must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET on the fourth weekday after the test administration. For any issues not related to test content (e.g., issues concerning testing devices, Bluebook, registration, test timing, test security, scoring, etc.), use this form instead.

Cancel Scores

Cancellation includes scores on all tests you take on one day, unless your equipment malfunctions. Once we receive your request, your scores cannot be reinstated. You may cancel your score up until 11:59 p.m. ET one week after your test date for SAT Weekend or within five days of your test date for SAT School Day.

This cannot be done online or by email.

Test Day Complaints

If you have a complaint about the test center or testing conditions, send us a letter explaining your complaint by 11:59 p.m. ET on the fourth weekday after the test administration. Your scores could be delayed while your complaint is investigated.
