What supports are available for English learners (ELs) and what documentation is needed?

College Board offers testing supports for ELs for the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT School Day assessments. Supports include translated test directions, use of approved bilingual word-to-word dictionaries, and time and one-half (50%) extended testing time. SSD coordinators must request extended time in the EL Supports tool, which is part of SSD Online. Schools don't need to submit documentation at least 4 weeks before testing, but students should use extended time only if they have a documented need.
