Important Dates

Refer to the DoWEA Spring 2027 Testing Update document for important testing milestones.

In addition to these milestones, on December 2, College Board provides access via email to an Interactive Checklist for each school's primary test coordinator as provided in the SAT Suite Ordering and Registration system (see School Onboarding section below). This digital tool helps school test coordinators and their delegees manage SAT Suite administration tasks through timely reminders that allow users to mark tasks as In Progress, Complete, or I'm Stuck, prompting customer service to follow up with assistance.

For detailed instructions, see our Interactive Checklist Overview.

School Testing Team

  • Test Coordinator: Expected to be at the school to supervise all activities related to test administration. Responsible for staff recruitment, training, and assignments; overseeing the use of facilities; supervising all test administration activities; and handling any emergencies or disruptions. The test coordinator and SSD coordinator are also the two roles responsible for reviewing accommodations and ensuring students testing with accommodations and supports have a smooth administration.
  • SSD Coordinator: Responsible for supporting students testing with accommodations. This includes requesting accommodations and supports, validating student accommodations data, helping the test coordinator seat students in appropriate groups, and working with proctors and technology coordinators to ensure students can test successfully with their accommodations. New SSD coordinators must request access to SSD Online by submitting the SSD Coordinator Form.
  • DoWEA IT: Please contact DoWEA IT with questions about network or device readiness.
  • Technology Monitor: Help students and staff with technical issues on test day in a designated help room.
  • Proctors: Responsible for conducting a secure, valid administration. They're accountable for everyone in their testing room and everything that takes place there.
  • Hall/Room Monitors: Assist with test administration duties. Monitors don't administer the test, but they have access to Test Day Toolkit to help direct students to their assigned rooms, answer questions, monitor testing areas, and submit irregularities if needed.

School Onboarding (SSOR)

  • In September 2026, a new process for spring School Day testing began for establishing schools and districts. DoWEA provided College Board with a list of schools eligible/required to test along with their principal's and Assessment and Accountability Instructional Systems Specialist's (A&A ISS's) name and contact information.
  • College Board provided each principal and A&A ISS on the DoWEA eligible schools list access through their College Board professional account dashboard to the SAT Suite Ordering and Registration (SSOR) system, as well as the ability to manage SSOR access for other school personnel, such as school test coordinators, as desired.
  • School and district coordinators will only access SSOR to complete the Organization and Establishment Survey, providing and updating school testing contacts throughout the school year.
  • By October 23, 2026, each school should enter their spring testing details in SSOR (e.g., coordinator-level staff names and contact information, estimated number of test takers, estimated testing dates within the window, etc.).
  • If schools have changes in key test staff personnel throughout the year, they can make those changes directly in SSOR to ensure that new test coordinators get up to date information directly from College Board, including newsletters and test readiness outreach.
  • For detailed instructions, see District & School Guidance for Organization Establishment in SSOR.

Accommodations and EL Supports (SSD Online)

Before taking the assessments in the SAT Suite with accommodations, students with documented disabilities or English learner (EL) support needs must get approval from College Board's Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). College-Board–approved accommodations carry over year to year for students, while EL supports must be requested each year, as needed, for students.

SSD coordinators must submit requests for accommodations and EL supports in SSD Online no later than January 25, 2027. SSD Online is open and available to submit requests as soon as today. We strongly encourage SSD coordinators to submit requests as soon as possible to ensure enough time to review requests prior to the beginning of the testing window.

Registration (SDMS)

DoWEA headquarters manages most aspects of student registrations for the spring SAT School Day administration in the State Data Management System (SDMS). SDMS allows coordinators to review student registration and accommodations data for accuracy, view student test status, and force match and waive accommodations. The information in SDMS flows into Test Day Toolkit and Bluebook. Coordinators will be granted access to SDMS via email invitation closer to the start of their state's testing window.
