New Hampshire SAT School Day and PSAT 10
The New Hampshire SAT School Day serves as the state's general summative assessment for high school students. All students in their third year of high school participate unless they qualify for the alternate assessment. The SAT School Day allows schools to administer the SAT during a regular school day, providing students with a familiar testing environment. Student scores are used for federal and state accountability and may also be used for college admission.

Overview
Beginning in spring 2027, the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) will offer schools the option to administer the PSAT 10 to all students in their second year of high school. New for this year, the PSAT 10 is fully state-funded, so there is no cost to schools. As the PSAT 10 uses the same score scale as the SAT and is part of the SAT Suite of Assessments, educators will be able to measure student growth, identify strengths and skill gaps, track progress over time, and use the data to support students ready for advanced coursework.
Going forward, schools are required to continue administering the SAT School Day (without essay) and have the option to offer the PSAT 10 at no cost to them. The spring SAT School Day and PSAT 10 testing window will run from March 22–April 23, 2027. Schools administering the PSAT 10 will register students using the same process as the New Hampshire SAT School Day. Schools should not use the College Board SAT Suite Ordering and Registration (SSOR) system for PSAT 10 registration.
Information for Students and Families
Both the New Hampshire SAT School Day and PSAT 10 are composed of two sections: the Reading and Writing section and the Math section. Students have 64 minutes to complete the Reading and Writing section and 70 minutes for the Math section for a total testing time of 2 hours and 14 minutes. There is a 10-minute break between the two sections.

School Testing Team
College Board recommends that each school establish a team of staff to plan for and support test administration. Administering the SAT Suite of Assessments in a professional, well-organized manner helps students perform their best. Team member roles include:
- SAT Coordinator (School Test Coordinator): Expected to be at the school to supervise all activities related to test administration. Responsible for staff recruitment, training, and assignments; overseeing the use of facilities; supervising all test administration activities; and handling any emergencies or disruptions. The SAT coordinator and SSD coordinator are also the two roles responsible for reviewing accommodations and ensuring students testing with accommodations and supports have a smooth administration.
- SSD Coordinator: Responsible for supporting students testing with accommodations. This includes requesting accommodations and supports, validating student accommodations data, helping the test coordinator seat students in appropriate groups, and working with proctors and technology coordinators to ensure students can test successfully with their accommodations.
- Technology Coordinator: Can be a district- or school-level staff member but must have the expertise and permissions to install Bluebook on managed devices and configure the network (or manage staff who do). The IT professionals at your school can explore the list of relevant responsibilities at bluebook.org/tech.
- Technology Monitor: Help students and staff with technical issues on test day in a designated help room.
- Proctors: Responsible for conducting a secure, valid administration. They're accountable for everyone in their testing room and everything that takes place there.
- Hall/Room Monitors: Assist with test administration duties. Monitors don't administer the test, but they have access to Test Day Toolkit to help direct students to their assigned rooms, answer questions, monitor testing areas, and submit irregularities if needed.
- Principal: Provide guidance and support to the school testing team as needed to ensure a smooth test administration. Serve as an escalation point for testing issues.

Accommodations and Supports
SSD coordinators can submit new accommodation requests for students without approved accommodations or request changes to existing approvals through SSD Online.
Supports are also available for English learners (EL) participating in the New Hampshire SAT School Day administration. Eligible students may access Up to Time and One-half, Text-to-Speech for Math, EL Math Only (allowing first-year EL students to take only the Math section), translated test directions, and a list of approved word-to-word bilingual dictionaries. Learn more about EL supports.
Students who need accommodated materials or other adjustments must receive approval from College Board's Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).
SSD Online Access
SSD coordinators use SSD Online to request accommodations and supports for students. To access SSD Online, school administration must designate an SSD coordinator who will be responsible for managing test accommodations for the NH SAT School Day. To gain access, SSD coordinators must:
- Have a current College Board professional account.
- Complete the SSD Coordinator Form.
- Submit one form per school.
- Designate one person as the primary SSD coordinator. Schools may have additional SSD coordinators, but each must have a College Board professional account and complete the SSD Coordinator Form.
- Allow 3–5 business days for processing.
