Average Scores and Benchmark Performance

You can access the Performance by All Students report to analyze average total and section scores at your organization, as well as aggregate performance against college and career readiness benchmarks.

• View counts of students who tested, including counts of students whose scores may be on hold (see the the SAT Score Holds webpage for more details on score holds).
• By default, this report is run for all students. You can use the option in the upper right of the report to change the report parameters, including the ability to report on a specific grade or set of grade groups.
• Analyze average scores and score band distributions for the total score, Reading and Writing section score, and Math section score.
• View section-level benchmark performance.
  • View aggregate data of the total score that identifies students who either met both section-level benchmarks; met just one section-level benchmark (meeting either the Reading and Writing section benchmark or the Math section benchmark, but not both); or students who didn't meet the section-level benchmark.
  • View aggregate data of the Reading and Writing section and Math section that identifies students who either met or exceeded the section-level benchmark; are approaching the section-level benchmark (performing below their grade level by 1 year or less ); or students not yet approaching the section-level benchmark (performing below their grade level by more than one year).

• Compare average score and benchmark performance across school, district, state, national, and all tester levels.

You can access the Performance by Demographics report to analyze demographic group performance at your organization. This report may assist in identifying performance gaps and supporting equity goals.

• The data outlined above apply to this report as well, but allow you to view aggregate performance by gender, race/ethnicity (student reported), and fee waiver usage (SAT reports only).
• Score performance comparisons are not provided in the demographics report.
