FAQ
Can students waive their accommodations on test day?
Yes, but it's highly recommended that you obtain parental consent before waiving their accommodations. If a student wants to waive their accommodations on test day and you don't have parental consent, consider rescheduling the student.
If a student wants to test without their accommodations and hasn't entered the 5-letter room code yet, you can waive their accommodations in a few minutes. Proctors should tell students to exit Bluebook and send them to the test coordinator.
Test coordinators should take these steps:
- Click the student's name in the SSOR roster to open their student record.
- Click Edit.
- Click the Waive accommodations checkbox.
- Save the student record.
- Check Test Day Toolkit after 5–10 minutes to make sure the student's information has been updated. If necessary, assign the student to a different room.
- Tell the student to sign back in to Bluebook and confirm their accommodations have been waived.
- Send the student to their testing room.
If accommodations don't update within 10 minutes or there are too many students requesting to waive accommodations, you can reschedule their test date.
