What's changed for SAT Suite test ordering and registration?

While the general ordering and registration steps will remain the same, there are several changes for the 2024–25 school year for schools:

New beginning fall 2024

  • Test ordering and student registration for the SAT Suite of Assessments remain available within the same tool, SAT Suite Ordering and Registration (SSOR). There’s a new look and feel for the ordering and registration dashboards to make it easier to locate resources.
  • Schools can see what their district ordered on their behalf both in ordering and registration. If your district already ordered the tests and grades you intend to test, then you shouldn't place an additional order. Place a school order only for tests and grades your district hasn’t already or is planning to order.
  • All district-placed orders will now be required to have an intended start date selected. Depending on how your district placed their order on your behalf, you may or may not be able to change the date they selected using your school’s SSOR.
  • The registration file upload process has been enhanced for quicker processing time. Now, the first check for file format is completed in near real time. The second check for record-level data may take up to 4 hours, but we've added an automated email that will be sent when validation is complete.
  • The timestamp for when registration was requested in SSOR will be displayed in the SSOR roster. This will help you better estimate when each student's data should appear in Test Day Toolkit (within 1 full business day of the registration timestamp).
  • In the SSOR roster, there is now a designation of when each registered student downloads their test. After their test is downloaded or they’re registered for retesting, the student can't be deleted from SSOR.

New beginning spring 2025

  • You’ll see a new count at the top of your registration roster with the number of homeschooled/away students in your roster. This counts all students who have an Attending AI Code provided on their SSOR record that is different from the school they’re testing at. If this count is inaccurate, you’ll know to check the students who don’t normally attend your school to ensure they have the correct Attending AI Code associated with their record.
  • If your district submits student data on your behalf, they now have the ability to submit add-on files after their initial data upload. If you notice large amounts of students missing, you can reach out to your district for help resolving the issue by uploading an add-on file rather than needing to add students manually.
