Educator Resources for Online Score Reports

On this page, you'll find electronic score report (ESR) data layouts for reporting scores in the reporting portals for the SAT Suite of Assessments to K-12 educators and higher education professionals. ESR data files are available in two formats, a fixed width (.txt) format and a comma delimited (.csv) format.

Each test in the SAT Suite of Assessments (SAT, PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10, or PSAT 8/9) has a different ESR data layout. Additionally, there is a different layout used to report SAT scores to K–12 educators than the one used to report SAT scores to higher education professionals.

For K-12 educators, visit Tips for Helping Students with Next Steps for more information on interpreting your students' scores. For resources you can share with students to help them understand their scores, visit What Do My Scores Mean?.

For higher education professionals, you'll see additional resources related to a high-level overview of digital scores and reports, scoring and equating, as well as an interpretation guide for the student score report PDF you can download in the higher education reporting portal.
