PSAT 8/9 and PSAT/NMSQT Fees
Schools pay the following fee:
- PSAT/NMSQT test registration: $18 each
- PSAT 8/9 test registration: $14 each
Invoices will be based on the number of students on the SSOR Registration Roster that have a status of "registered" at the end of the testing window which is October 31, 2023.
Note: There will be no international shipping fees for paper tests shipped for students approved for a paper accommodation for 2023–24 PSAT 8/9 or PSAT/NMSQT tests.
Price adjustments are available for the following scenarios:
- Schools and districts serving low-income students will receive a price discount based on the federally estimated poverty rate exchange.
- Schools and districts administering one or more assessments in both fall and spring.
Visit District and School Pricing Details for more information on these pricing adjustments, as well as others that may apply to your school or district.
SAT Suite Registration Overview
Download the SAT Suite Ordering and Registration Troubleshooting to understand the two steps for creating a data file for student registration in SSOR and to check for common data errors.
Schools and districts upload data files with test taker information to the SAT Suite Ordering and Registration System (SSOR). Schools validate this data and register students securely before test day.
Note: Homeschooled or away students may reach out to participate in your school's administration. You will need to collect the required data to register these students so they can be included when test taker information is uploaded in SSOR.
Students must be registered in the SAT Suite Ordering and Registration (SSOR) site for digital testing before their testing start date. SAT Suite registration will be available in the SSOR site in early September.
To access the SSOR site for registration, you must be assigned the appropriate role(s) by your organization's SSOR access manager. More information on this process can be found in our Help Center in the Accessing section.
Test taker data must be submitted in the correct format. Review the file specifications below before submitting your file.
Ensure your student data is uploaded and that the uploaded data is validated and students are registered in SSOR in enough time before test day. Read more about testing timelines.

Registration Data File Specifications
Test taker information must be submitted using the SSOR Registration template, a comma delimited (.csv) format. If you use a student information system, we recommend exporting student data and transferring to this template. The file must match the format of the template and meet the specifications below. At this time, there are no data import capabilities from outside systems to College Board for SAT Suite registration.
Notes about submission:
- Files must be submitted with columns in the correct order and Column Headers for data to be processed correctly.
- Your file name may not contain special characters.
- Acceptable file name characters: uppercase letters (A-Z), lowercase letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), period ( . ), hyphen ( - ), parentheses ( ( ) ), underscore ( _ ), space ( ).
- If any unaccepted characters are present, you will receive an error message and will be required to fix the file name and reupload your file.
- The following columns are required (in the specified order) in the file upload, however not all columns require data.
- Required data: Testing AI Code, First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Grade, Test, Season.
- Optional data (columns still required): Attending AI Code, Middle Initial, School Student ID, District Student ID, State Student ID.

---|---|---|---|---|
A | Testing AI Code | The "Testing AI Code" is the 6-digit AI/CEEB code (which may include a leading 0) of the school where students are testing. This value will determine which school's registration roster to upload the student's data to in SSOR. The Testing AI code must must be a valid or existing code and should match the submitting organization's AI/CEEB Code (for schools) or must be a corresponding AI/CEEB Code of a school included in a district's SSOR order (for districts). | Required | Length: 6 characters Format: Numeric |
