College Board Required Training
- All test day staff are required to complete the College Board required training.
- Modules are available about 4–6 weeks before the opening of the testing window.
- Test coordinators receive an email when training is available and should forward the email to test day staff.
- You'll need a College Board professional account to sign in; if you don't have one, you can create one. You'll also use this same account to log in to Test Day Toolkit.
- Staff with experience delivering tests in the digital SAT Suite can condense the course or may be able to test out of topics.
- Coordinators will be able to see staff’s training completion status by navigating to the Training Status Dashboard on their training launch page.

Additional Information about Training
Training is required for the following staff:
- School test coordinator
- SSD coordinator
- Proctor/Room monitor
- Hall monitor
- Technology monitor
School Test Coordinator: If you're trained as a test coordinator, you'll be prepared to support all testing roles for that assessment.
Proctor: If you're trained as a proctor, you're also trained as a hall monitor and tech monitor for that assessment.
Technology Monitor and Hall Monitor: If you need to be trained as a tech monitor and hall monitor, select both roles in the training and you'll only have to take the training once.
Note: Staff that are assigned the SAT Suite data coordinator role or SAT Suite registration role can review an optional SSOR training module.
The training topics will vary by your test day role, but some common topics include:
- Policies and procedures for digital testing
- Using Test Day Toolkit
- Bluebook™ digital testing application for students
- Testing students with accommodations or English learner supports
- Device requirements for students and staff
- Test coordinators should complete the Test Coordinator Planning section of their training as soon as they can after training opens, which is about 4–6 weeks before the testing window opens.
- All test day staff should plan to complete their training at least 1–2 weeks before test day.
- You'll be able to sign back in and review the training at any time.
The course duration will vary by role and whether you've previously delivered a digital assessment in the SAT Suite. The course will ask about digital testing experience and will present some topics as optional. Your progress will be saved so you don't have to complete the training in one sitting. Below are estimates of course duration by test day role:
- School test coordinator: 55–75 minutes
- Proctor/Room monitor: 30–45 minutes
- Hall monitor: 20–30 minutes
- Technology monitor: 25–35 minutes
- Use a College Board–supported browser, like Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari, and ensure pop-ups are enabled.
- If you have any problems accessing the training platform, try clearing your browser's cache or temporary internet files.
- If you're supporting additional tests, such as SAT Weekend, you can add this training by clicking Training Status Dashboard on the training launch page. Then, select Add Additional Test Administrations.
Coordinators can monitor and track the training completion status of their staff. They'll only see the status for staff who have signed in to the training platform and associated themselves with the coordinator's testing location and assessment. Here are some important tips to keep in mind:
- Coordinators must sign in to the training platform with the same email address as indicated in SSOR.
- On their first sign-in, coordinators can access their staff’s status by clicking Training Status Dashboard on the training launch page. Subsequent sign-ins will automatically direct them to the Training Status Dashboard.
- New Dashboard Features for Spring 2025:
- Indicate whether you have trained staff on site
- Mark staff as no longer supporting your administration
- Download staff data into a .csv file
Once you've passed the knowledge check at the end of the course, your status will be marked as complete. Your coordinator will be able to see your status on their Training Status Dashboard. You can also save or print a certificate if you want to share it with your test coordinator by clicking:
- The blue Print Course Certificate button on the final slide of the course.
- The Print Certificate button on the course launch page.
If you do not see either of these buttons, you likely still have additional course modules to complete or have not yet passed the knowledge check or test out.
